CSC Representation at 2005 SRCD Meeting

CSC Representation at 2005 SRCD Meeting

On April 7th the Society for Research on Child Development will commence its biennial meeting, this year held in Atlanta, Georgia. The Child Study Center at PSU will be represented by a number of students and affiliated researchers from various programs and departments. From the 7th to the 10th researchers from around the country and the world will be presenting findings at the forefront of developmental science, and we are pleased to have a large representation. Among the events will be poster sessions on all four days by over 25 students and researchers involved with the CSC.

Of special interest are several paper symposia being chaired and containing presentations by members of the CSC. As part of the 2005 Invited Symposia Dr. Pamela Cole will be chairing and presenting in a session entitled Emotion Regulation, the Next Generation: Points of Consensus, Paths to Resolution. Dr. Karen Bierman will be presenting “Elementary School Characteristics, Classroom Peer Communities, and Student Social-Emotional Development” in the Invited Paper Symposium What Can the Study of Schools and Schooling Contribute to Understanding Development and How Can It Be Studied? Additionally, Dr. Lynn Liben will also be chairing and presenting at this year’s meeting in the Paper Symposium Across Nonlinguistic Domains: Maps, Pictures, Replicas, Video, and Play.

We are proud to display these and other presentations at this year’s SRCD meeting. To view the 2005 SRCD Meeting program in its entirety just follow the link here. Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you in Atlanta!
