Karen Bierman and Mark Greenberg receive 2017 SPR Service Award

Karen Bierman, Evan Pugh University Professor and Director of the Child Study Center, and Mark Greenberg, Edna Peterson Bennett Endowed Chair in Prevention Research, are recipients of the 2017 Society for Prevention Research Service Award. This award is “given to an individual or a team of individuals in recognition of outstanding service to the organization.”

Karen and Mark are members of the Conduct Problems Prevention Research Group. All six members of this group will be receiving the award when it is presented at SPR’s 25th annual meeting on June 1st in Washington, D.C. The Conduct Problems Prevention Research Group initiated the Fast Track intervention program, which is a comprehensive, multi-state project examining how children develop with a focus on improving psychopathology from early childhood through adulthood. All royalties from all products created for the Fast Track project have been donated to the SPR.

Congratulations to both Karen and Mark!
