Biography:

Jennifer Murray Connell is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychology at Penn State and a licensed clinical social worker. She teaches and supervises undergraduate and graduate students with a focus on applied intervention and clinical training. Through the Child Study Center, she leads Friendship Group and We Are Connected, which offer students direct experience supporting children’s social and emotional development. At the Penn State Psychological Clinic, Jennifer provides therapy to children, adults, and families, supervises graduate students and pre-licensed professionals, and consults with schools and community agencies on mental health and behavioral needs. Prior to returning to Penn State, she spent nearly two decades in New Haven, Connecticut, working in both academic and community settings, including the Yale Child Study Center and a charter school network. A Penn State alumna, Jennifer earned her bachelor's degree in political science and later her Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina.
