Families at Risk (FAR) initiative leader, Dr. Doug Teti, and Pathways to Competence (P2C) initiative leader, Dr. Pamela Cole, joined efforts to organize a special meeting of the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD).  The meeting entitled “New Conceptualizations in the Study of Parenting at Risk” was chaired by Doug Teti and took place on Nov. 13-15, 2014 in San Diego, CA.  Organized by Doug Teti and Pamela Cole from Penn State, Natasha Cabrera from University of Maryland, Sherryl Goodman from Emory University, and Vonnie McLoyd from the University of Michigan, the conference brought in about 230 people and included international presenters and participants.
